Training and facilitation
Psychologically informed learning designed around the realities of work
MKM Psychology designs and facilitates engaging workshops, development sessions and team away days that help people explore important issues, develop practical understanding and work more effectively together.

Whether an organisation needs a focused one-off session, support with a challenging team conversation or experienced delivery within a wider development programme, the work is shaped around its people, context and desired outcomes.

Learning that connects with real work
A workshop creates the most value when people can see how it relates to their own experience and leave with something they can use.
Rather than delivering generic theory, MKM Psychology draw on business psychology, behavioural science and coaching practice to make complex ideas accessible and relevant. Sessions combine thoughtful input with discussion, reflection and practical application, giving participants the opportunity to connect learning with the challenges they are facing.
One-off training can be valuable when it has a clear purpose. Where the need is more complex, sessions can also form part of a wider programme that allows people to apply their learning, reflect on what happens and build on it over time.

Consolidate
We begin by clarifying the organisational context, audience, desired outcomes and any sensitivities or practical considerations that should shape the work.
The session is created or adapted using relevant psychological evidence, practical frameworks and activities suited to the participants and purpose.
The session is delivered with a balance of structure and flexibility. The facilitator responds to what emerges in the room while maintaining focus on the agreed purpose and outcomes.
Where appropriate, participants identify practical next steps and receive resources or reflective questions to help them continue applying the learning after the session.

Resilience and wellbeing
Exploring the individual and organisational factors that influence wellbeing, recognising pressure earlier and developing healthier ways of sustaining performance.
Confidence and impostor feelings
Understanding the patterns that can undermine professional confidence and developing more balanced, constructive ways of responding to self-doubt.
Courageous leadership
Balancing empathy and support with accountability, honest conversations and the courage to address what needs attention.
Psychological safety
Creating conditions in which people can contribute ideas, raise concerns, acknowledge mistakes and challenge constructively.
Communication
Strengthening the ability to listen, communicate clearly, give and receive feedback and approach challenging conversations with confidence.
Conflict and collaboration
Understanding responses to conflict, working with disagreement constructively and improving collaboration across team boundaries.
Strengths and impact
Helping people understand what energises them, how they are experienced by others and how they can use their strengths intentionally.
Team purpose
Creating clarity around shared purpose, priorities, roles, expectations and the behaviours that help the team work well together.
Flexible formats
Sessions can be designed for different audiences, settings and timeframes, including:
- Interactive masterclasses
- Short focused workshops
- Half-day or full-day sessions
- Team away days and team-building sessions
- Multi-session development programmes
- Action learning sets
- Online or in-person delivery
- Small teams, larger groups and senior leadership audiences
The most appropriate format will depend on what the session needs to achieve. We will work together to agree on what is realistic within the available time, rather than trying to fit too much into a single event.
